LifePoint is a growing multi-site, multi-generational, and multi-cultural church with a commitment to preaching God's Word faithfully, making disciples, developing leaders, and multiplying churches. We are looking to add another pastor to our team that will serve the LifePoint family with a primary focus on discipleship, counseling, small-groups, teaching, and leader development.

Discipleship The Discipleship Pastor will help establish a culture a disciple making at LifePoint by modeling discipleship first in their home and then with others. We desire to see an effective strategy implemented in a way that is personal, intentional, and scalable. We want the LifePoint community to understand that it means to be a disciple making disciple of Jesus Christ.

Biblical Counseling/Care The Discipleship Pastor will be responsible for the care of LifePoint family through biblical counseling. Though all pastors share the responsibility for biblical counseling to our church family, this will be a primary focus for the Discipleship Pastor. In addition, we would like the Discipleship Pastor to be trained (or pursue training) through the Association Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and assist in developing and leading others to be biblical counselors.

LifeGroup Communities LifeGroups are vital to the health of our church family. Each group leader functions on behalf of the Pastors/Elders to build community and care for the people. The Discipleship Pastor will ensure the health and growth of our LifeGroups by recruiting, training, and encouraging the LifeGroup Leaders while helping those in our church to find a group to join.

Teaching/Preaching The Discipleship Pastor will teach (or oversee the teaching of) a wide range of classes such as our Baptism Class, Child Dedication, Faith Foundations (6 weeks), Membership Classes, and other classes developed for the equipping of our church. He will work with the Lead Pastor to assess the needs of our church family and develop solutions for maturity. In addition, the Discipleship Pastor will regularly rotate in as a preacher on Sunday mornings and Wednesday night Student Ministry or services.

Word To Life Studies LifePoint Church is committed to the study of scripture and expository preaching. We work through books of the Bible essentially verse by verse. In addition, we produce sermon aligned daily Bible studies that correspond with the passage of scripture being preached the following Sunday. The Discipleship Pastor will function as a contributor to the Word To Life (WTL) studies by assisting in regular devotional writing in conjunction with WTL team.

LifePoint Institute LifePoint Church has a 2 year residency program with the mission to develop and deploy church leaders. The Discipleship Pastor will help in the recruiting, organizing, and teaching in LPI.
