Double Heads Baptist Church, a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, is located in Sylvania (Screven County), Georgia, and our current pastor is leaving to become a full-time missionary. So, we are prayerfully looking for a bi-vocational pastor to lead our congregation to grow spiritually and in numbers, with a special emphasis on building a children's ministry. We currently have worship services on Sunday morning and prayer meetings on Wednesday evenings. Church membership is 81, with an average attendance of 30. Double Heads was established in 1854, and the physical facility consists of a beautiful sanctuary, a baptismal, Sunday School rooms, a nursery, and a social hall. The property includes a historic cemetery and a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom pastorium. The pastorium has a large Church/pastor's office with an entrance separate from the residence.
