Shepherd’s Field Family Church is around 20 years old and was originally non-denominational and broadly evangelical. However, over the last eleven years the church has gone through tremendous change and is now Confessional (1689 LBC) and Calvinistic, and the teaching has been expositional and covenantal.
The polity is Reformed - elders and deacons.
Worship is ordered by the Regulative Principle.
The body is maturing spiritually. There are pockets of complacency and busyness that hamper spiritual and physical growth.
We currently average about 35 to 45 (including children) on Sunday mornings.
This body loves the Lord, loves one another, and desires to grow. This congregation is missions-minded and continues to support various Gospel-centered mission groups. There is a core group of families which has faithfully supported the ministry of the Word and has sacrificed much financially for the sake of seeing this small outpost remain faithful to God’s sovereign Word for His glory. Our prayer is that God would build His church and that His Word would not return void.
We are seeking an elder qualified man (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9) who has a shepherd’s heart and is willing to work bi-vocationally for a time, a man who seeks to disciple members of all ages into maturity, to raise up elders and deacons to labor alongside him, and who will live and preach the uncompromising truth of God’s Word. The spiritual soil in this region is hard as most people either think they are Christians by religious affiliation or have been turned against Christ by the prevailing religious culture.
Beginning salary will be approximately $40,000 with the possibility of housing.

Moundridge is a semi-rural, industrial/agricultural town with a population of approximately 2,000.
The religious cultural of the area is Anabaptist Mennonite.
The major industries in the area are:
-The Bradbury Group (Moundridge)
-Moridge Manufacturing/Grasshopper Mowers (Moundridge)
-Tortilla King (Moundridge)
-Stanley Black & Decker Industries (Hesston, 6 miles south)
-AGCO (Hesston)
There are also a number of plastics manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other industries within 25 miles.
Major aviation manufacturing is located in Wichita, which is about 40 miles to the south. Kubota and Great Plains manufacturing are located in Salina, which is about 40 miles to the North.
