First Baptist Church of Appleton City, MO is seeking a full-time pastor who holds to the Baptist Faith and Message. FBC of AC is a traditional church in a small community with average Sunday morning church attendance of eighty persons. We are seeking a man called by God, who is passionate and biblically sound. The pastor responsibilities include (but not limited to): preach and teach the word of God, provide spiritual leadership to the congregation, provide pastoral care, counseling, and support to church members in need; work with deacon body in developing a partnership in church ministries, engage in community outreach and foster relationships with local organizations, perform wedding ceremonies and conduct funeral services, contact members, prospective members, and visitors; act as an ex-officio member of all organizations and committees in connection with the church, schedule office hours and days off and adhere to schedule as much as possible, lead the church in cooperating with associational, state, and denominational leaders; keep church informed of developments within the denomination, and seek a God-given clear vision for the church and be able to guide the church in strategic planning and vision implementation.
