Community:Once a small farming community, First Baptist Church of Winters (FBCW) is nestled in the HEART of the quaint, but rapidly growing hallmark town of Winters, CA! As the oldest Southern Baptist church in California — first established in 1861, FBCW has made its home on the corner of First Street since 1875, only a couple blocks from the newly restored Historic Downtown Winters. Nearly every weekend, our small town comes alive with parades, open-air markets, live music and other festivities, presenting abundant opportunities for outreach ministry and discipleship of lost people in need of a relationship with Jesus! Winters is central to several surrounding areas, as the Napa Valley resides to our West, the City of Davis and Sacramento to our East, and the Cities of Vacaville and Fairfield just to the South. Our Church:FBCW is currently a church of older demographics, with 40 to 55 attendees on average on any given Sunday morning. Our church cooperates with the Redwood Empire Baptist Association and the California Southern Baptist Convention. FBCW strives to be a diverse community of believers with the duty of glorifying God, proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and resting in Christ through faith.
