Three Rivers First Baptist Church (Southern Baptist Council) is a small rural congregation, looking for a part-time or bi-vocational pastor. Three Rivers is an unincorporated rural community in the Central California foothills at the entrance to Sequoia National Park. We are located approximately 200 miles north of Los Angeles and 200 south of San Francisco with a population of approximately 2500. Our current average Sunday attendance is between 35-50 people. We are truly conservative in nature and hold Scripture to be wholly reliable and authoritative in all manners of life and conduct.

We are seeking a pastor to be the spiritual leader of the church, following Southern Baptist teaching. He is responsible to the Lord and the church to primarily proclaim the gospel and teach the Bible. He is also to engage in pastoral care, provide supervisory leadership and administrate the paid and volunteer staff.

Our ideal candidate would be a true man of God who has some formal training and experience in teaching, preaching, and pastoral ministry. He should have a heart of compassion and zeal to encourage, instruct, challenge, and lead us forward in spiritual growth, individually and corporately. This pastor and his wife will need to have a sincere appreciation for country and rural life and understand the rhythms of a tourist community. We are asking the Lord for a man who is married to a wife of wisdom, a sincere believer with Scriptural awareness, and a certain sense of hospitality and empathy toward others.
