Job Description:

The primary objective of this position is to contribute to the magnification of God and the spiritual formation of his people at Stonebridge by leading corporate worship and overseeing key worship and creative arts-related ministries.

To this end, we are looking for a Pastor for Worship who will serve under the direction of the Lead Pastor to facilitate the musical and liturgical content of our services in such a way that complements the preaching of God's Word each week. This will involve recruiting, training, and rehearsing musicians, leading musical worship on Sundays, and overseeing the creative and artistic ways we adorn the gospel of Jesus in our gathered worship. The position may be full-time or part-time, depending on the desires and availability of a qualified applicant.

Position Qualifications:

• Plan Sunday worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor, utilizing Planning Center to coordinate liturgists, worship and tech teams, song selection and arrangements, and service orders, in close coordination with the support staff for worship.
• Lead the Worship Team, preparing the monthly schedule for team members, leading weekly rehearsals, coaching vocalists and instrumentalists, overseeing the song catalog, and leading gathered worship services on Sundays (and/or training others to lead).
• Lead the Creative Team, overseeing all production and creative elements for Sunday services (see below).
• Oversee the Tech Team, scheduling team members, setting audio and visual standards and best practices, and working with the Tech Coordinator to assess current and future equipment and budgetary needs.
• Lead music for special services or events as needed (e.g., Advent, Easter, children, conferences, funerals, etc.)
• Participate in weekly Equipping Team staff meetings.

• Facilitate the Creative Team's brainstorming, scheduling, and implementing of visual, sound, lighting, and staging elements of worship services.
• Opportunity to develop an internal culture of songwriting unique to the context of Stonebridge.

• Build relationships with congregants to identify individuals who have gifts or abilities in the areas of music and creative arts, as well as a passion for bringing glory to Christ.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop new members for Worship and Tech Teams, casting vision and providing training for personal growth and ministry-specific service.
• Opportunity to partner with the Pastor over Student Ministry to encourage, facilitate, and develop a youth worship team, and to work with Children's Director to encourage and facilitate musical aspects and opportunities for children's ministry.

• Be available to shepherd and encourage the members of the Worship and Tech Teams through regular personal contact and specialized training opportunities, nurturing relational unity, practical excellence, and spiritual health among team members.
• Safeguard the doctrinal soundness of worship and creative ministries, regularly assessing them for faithfulness to the gospel and alignment with the vision, values, and goals of the church.
• Attend to the administrative health of the ministry, maintaining musical files, song sheets, etc., managing software and hardware needs, CCLI reporting, supervising church instruments for maintenance or repairs, and overseeing worship budget, bills, and expenditures.
• Be intentional in maintaining a healthy spiritual, physical, and relational home life and personal life.
