Seeking Full Time Pastor

High Point Baptist Church is seeking a full-time pastor dedicated to serving God and supporting our mission statement as a New Testament Church.

High Point was established in 1911 in a rural community of Lancaster, South Carolina located in the southern portion of the county.

We are a Southern Baptist Church affiliated with the Moriah Association within the Southern Baptist Association.

Our pastor will be responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament Church. The pastor will lead the congregation, the organizations and the church staff in performing their task. These task include but are not limited to things such as, working with the deacons, and adhering to the church's constitution and bylaws, while performing his pastoral duties. The pastoral duties include preaching the gospel through biblical sermons on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evenings, preforming baptisms, leading in the Lords Supper, visiting the sick and shut-ins, counseling for marriage, and or other purposes, community outreach and other duties as required to develop a healthy church that glorifies God‘s kingdom.

Our pastor shall also be in charge of the pulpit ministry of the church, and will, in cooperation with the deacons, provide for ministers to conduct revivals, and or other meetings deemed necessary for the welfare of our church.

The church requires that the Pastor live in close proximity to our church facilities and community. We offer a parsonage, and a competitive salary and benefit package.

The Pastors lifestyle, habits and actions, as well as those of his wife, shall be such that it will not bring any disgrace, disparity, or harm the reputation and ministry of High Point Baptist Church, or go against God‘s holy word.
