The purpose of Milestone Church Clinton is to equip God's people for works of service so that the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Our Mission is to follow Jesus in: The Great Command and The Great Commission.

We are a church of real people in real relationships, following the real God, who seek to grow in the following principles:

1. Be loved by God.

2. Be love to God, the lost, brothers and sisters in Christ, and ourselves by:

a. Meeting people where they are, in their hurt, shame, loneliness and lostness.

b. Creating an environment where it is okay to not be okay, but it is not okay to stay that way.

c. Being family, welcoming, obedient, purposeful, compassionate, selfless, on mission, loving, forgiving, gracious, patient, transparent, genuine, unified: all from being rooted in Jesus!

d. Manifesting Christ in response to the love we experience from God.

3. When we fail to be love to others, we remember to be loved by God.

We are a church that seeks to create environments that facilitate building God centered healing and growing opportunities with one another so that we would grow to love one another in such a way that the community and surrounding areas would know that the Father sent the Son by the unity we have attained as a body by loving one another through life's hurts, joys, blessings, and disappointments.

We are a church overwhelmed by, and clear and strong on the simple Gospel of God's grace, offering His free gift of salvation to all who will simply believe on Him and enjoy the security and assurance of being held by Him forever thereafter.

Job Description

We are an elder-led church that is seeking a pastor, a man with a shepherd's heart, gifting, and passion to be among us and help lead our small but growing church in a bi-vocational (likely to start, but open to full-time discussion) role to multiply multiplying disciples. We seek a man who recognizes the Biblical model and value of shared leadership and the Biblical role of the church to equip and send God's people into their mission fields as they are gifted/led. Our group of elders will co-labor for the kingdom with this pastor.

This man will be responsible for preaching at 50-75% of the Sunday services, day-to-day church and staff operations, and shepherding roles.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience pastoring/leading a ministry

· Seminary

· Counseling degree/experience

· 3+ years of preaching experience

Minimum Qualifications:

· Life consistent with 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9

· Humble, gentle, and able to thrive in the messiness of life
