Baptist: SBC church in Forest City, North Carolina is hiring a Pastor

Job Description

The Pastor Shall:

A.   Have in his charge the welfare and oversight of the church, providing pastoral care

B.    Provide spiritual leadership and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ

C.    Have special charge of the pulpit ministry of the church and in cooperation with the deacons, provide for pulpit supply when he is absent, and arrange for leadership of special evangelistic or Christian enrichment service

D.   Conduct religious services on stated and special occasions, administer the Ordinances, and minister to the spiritual needs of the church and community

E.    Preside as the moderator for all church business meetings

F.    Be an ex-officio, non-voting member of all organizations, departments and committees

G.   Be administrative head of the church and its staff, being responsible for directing and coordinating the work of the paid staff and volunteer officers

H.   Cooperate with associational, state and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern, keeping the church informed of denominational and civic developments
