Calvary Baptist Church believes our next Shepherd should have the following gifts and abilities:– A strong presence in the pulpit. They should effectively communicate truth with a solid commitment to the authoritative Word of God.– Be a person of integrity and worthy of respect to those inside and outside of the church.– Lead with an evangelistic heart that is evident in their preaching and demonstrated in their daily lives. About our church: We are a small country (on the edge of town) church with an average attendance of less than 30. The church building is debt-free and approximately 3,800 sq.ft., including a sanctuary, kitchen, and dining hall. There is a full RV hook-up, with a small deck and small storage shed on the back of the church property (this could provide a possible living arrangement for a small RV/5th Wheel). Currently, we can offer a monthly salary of $1,000; however, we desire to increase this amount as the Lord provides. Given the nature and scope of this position, outside employment may be necessary. The church is willing to work with the candidate to make appropriate accommodations in this regard. Sweet Home (population 9,000) is located in the Western part of Linn County, Oregon, approximately 35 miles East of Albany, Oregon, and 90 miles South of Portland. The town is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cascade Mountains and the Willamette National Forest. Foster and Green Peter Lakes and the Santiam River are nearby.
