PASTOR OF ADULT DISCIPLE-MAKING

Job Description

Full-time, exempt, 40 hours/week. Reports to the Pastor of Disciple-Making and coordinates ministries with him.

The Pastor of Adult Disciple-Making is responsible for the coordination, planning, organization, administration and evaluation of a comprehensive discipleship ministry for adults (college, women, care, groups).

Job Responsibilities

1. Plan, organize, promote, administrate, execute and evaluate a comprehensive discipleship process for college students, young adults, and adults.

2. Provide leadership and oversight for the College, Young Adults, and Care Pastors and their ministry teams.

3. Lead appropriate staff meetings for the Adult Discipleship Team and ensure ministry alignment to the mission and vision of Providence.

4. Plan, organize, promote, administrate, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive adult discipleship ministry, to include, but not limited to: LIFE groups (Sunday and mid-week), D-Groups, and bible studies.

5. Provide leadership, direction and oversight to the leadership development among adults at Providence.

6. Provide leadership and accountability for the recruitment and development of lay leaders to serve in the Discipleship Ministry.

7. Plan and submit an annual calendar for the Adult Discipleship Team, in cooperation with entire Discipleship Team, and assure that all ministry events are coordinated through the church calendar.

8. Oversee the formulation of an annual budget for each discipleship ministry area to be recommended to the Elders, as well as oversee the implementation of the approved budget.

9. Provide leadership in short and long-range planning in the areas of space need and usage.

10. Develop strategies to communicate the vision and goals of Discipleship Ministries and to assimilate church members into appropriate areas of ministry.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.
