Pastor of College Ministry
Job Overview
The Pastor of College Ministry is a full-time position that shepherds, disciples, and mobilizes college students. We prayerfully seek a full-time Pastor of College Ministries to facilitate the discipling of our students. This role will assess, develop, and improve the existing ministries by directly interacting with students and by supervising, equipping, and encouraging the leaders of those ministries. The Pastor of College Ministry will serve alongside the Associate Pastor of College Ministry in equipping a team of volunteers and students by planning and executing various events, gatherings, and groups that create momentum toward spiritual formation.

Reports to: Pastor of Adult Ministry
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Classification: Ministerial
Ministry Purpose:
To always maintain a reverence for the mission of Fellowship Church, and to be in active pursuit and prioritization of Fellowship's staff values of Spiritual Formation, Relational Health, Vocational Excellence, and Kingdom Generosity. Adult Ministry aims to challenge each person to take their next step of faith with Jesus in going deeper as a new person, in a new family, on a new mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides spiritual care and direction to college-aged students
- Recruits & trains volunteers
- Pursues and develops relationships within our college community & local campuses
- Provides leadership and guidance to large group events
- Helps create a teaching team that is biblically strong and relevant to college students
- Participates in weekly pastoral mentoring and training activities assigned by the Pastor of Adult Ministries
- Works with the Pastor of Young Adults to help transition college graduates to Young Adult Ministry
- Works with the Pastor of Student Ministries to help transition high school seniors to College Ministry
- Provides formative supervision of the College Leadership Community & College Staff
- Performs other pastoral duties as assigned by the Pastor of Adults, including designated pastoral and staff meetings.

- Agrees fully with theological position papers of Fellowship Church and is willing to work within the boundaries of the statement of faith, vision, and philosophy from our Elders and Leadership.

- Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
- Takes the initiative in leadership roles.
- Utilizes excellent time management skills with the proven ability to complete multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Proficient use of basic computer hardware and software tools (i.e. MS Office suite).
- Maintains knowledge of social media communications.
- Bachelor's Degree that equips and enhances their ability to perform the disciple-making responsibilities in their field. Seminary Degree or pursuit of said degree encouraged.
- 5+ years of experience in College Ministries or similar ministry area.
- Fruits of spiritual maturity, godly character, and biblical discernment displayed clearly in all aspects of their professional, personal, and family life.
