Job Overview

Be an invested and engaged member of our staff, working closely with our lead Pastor on the overall direction and ministry focus of FRC.
Be a leader, building teams and connecting people into discipleship groups and opportunities at FRC. Cast a greater vision for the church in the area of discipleship, imagining how we can godeeper as a congregation into God’s Word together.
Be available for pastoral care, counseling, or other pastoral ministry duties throughout the week.
Be intentional at attracting, equipping, and raising up new leaders within FRC to do the work of ministry.
Be a part of the regular teaching rotation as assigned by our lead Pastor.

Job Description

Lead and oversee all discipleship ministries of FRC. This includes all of our small group ministries as well as our Men’s and Women’s Bible studies.

The Pastor of Discipleship would work toward cultivating a discipleship culture that is Bible based and transformation focused. Work closely with our staff as we focus on the Assimilation of new faces, ensuring they have an opportunity to enter into groups and discipleship opportunities at FRC.

Nurture the families at FRC. Create an emphasis on how discipleship happens in the family and how the home should be the primary place that discipleship happens. Model what it means to be a healthy follower of Jesus. The Pastor of Discipleship should live out their faith, being engaged in the church and community here in Lynden.
