Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the Children's Ministry program, volunteers, and curriculum
• Equip parents to be the primary disciple-makers of their families
• Build healthy relationships with students, parents and volunteers
• Lead all facets of our 6th-12th grade student ministries "Students of Grace" including youth nights, Sunday mornings, events, retreats, mission trips etc.
• Preach on Sunday mornings a few times each year (based on topic, need and desire)
• Participate as an active, healthy staff team member

Our Pastor of Students and Children will be responsible to build up and disciple the families of Grace Community Church to love Jesus. This pastor will oversee all children and students through 12th grade, with a focus on 6th-12th grade. The position is full-time and salary and benefits are based on education and experience. This staff member reports regularly to the Grace Community Church team of Elders.

• Humble and teachable spirit
• Matches the qualities outlined in the Bible for an Elder (man) or Deacon (man/woman)
• Enjoys building relationships with people and discipling others
• Fits well with the mission, vision and personality of our church
• Able to teach, lead classes and facilitate productive meetings
• Able to handle sensitive issues with integrity in a trustworthy way
• Previous experience working with kids and students in a local church
• Comfortable in a conservative, evangelical, non-pentecostal theological environment
• Bachelor degree in Youth Ministry, Biblical Studies, or other related fields required
