Job Description:

First Baptist Church Dandridge is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor of Students and Families to lead a gospel-centered student ministry (grades 6-12). We're looking for a spiritually mature and enthusiastic person to bring fresh vision and leadership to this already healthy ministry. Our goal is to develop mature Christian students by introducing them to the gospel, teaching them God's Word, helping them use their gifts for service, and equipping them to advance the gospel. This position will also seek to establish intentional relationships with their families by encouraging and equipping parents to develop a Biblical worldview in their children.

Position Qualifications:

• The pastor must be a born-again follower of Jesus Christ, who maintains a life of faithfulness and integrity, who has sensed a divine call to pastoral ministry, who has a heart for students and families, and who has a desire to proclaim the gospel and promote discipleship. • The pastor must maintain a theology based on Scripture Alone, as outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. • The pastor must have a high school diploma (or equivalent); a bachelors degree; and preferably a masters degree (or in progress) from an evangelical seminary. • The pastor must be over the age of 25, agree to a criminal background check, and provide credible references from previous places of employment and service. • The pastor must be spiritually mature, trustworthy, compassionate, organized, self-motivated, and teachable. He must also possess strong skills in administration, communication, and leadership.
