Job Overview

We are searching for a pastor to serve either as a Pastor to Students or a Pastor to Families and Students, depending on that person's qualifications and skills. The position of Pastor to Students would primarily focus on overseeing the student ministry, but include some ministry to parents. The Pastor to Families and Students would include oversight of the student ministry, but would also have the responsibility of guiding our process of equipping parents to be the primary disciplers of their children and providing strategic direction in the discipleship process from childhood through high school.

Job Description

Some of the general job responsibilities of the Pastor to Students are to

• Plan and coordinate the student ministry to ensure that it is Bible-saturated and gospel-centered
• Equip parents to be the primary disciplers of their student(s)
• Supervise the teaching and discipleship process of the student ministry to ensure that teaching is biblically and theologically robust and effectively teaches students the Word and doctrine so that they might grow to be mature disciples of Christ
• Provide pastoral guidance to students
• Recruit, train, and oversee the student ministry volunteers
• Shepherd the flock along with the other pastors of the church

Some of the general job responsibilities of the Pastor to Families and Students are to

• Educate and equip parents of children and students to be the primary disciplers of their children
• Oversee (in coordination with the other pastors) the development and implementation of a unified scope and sequence as a teaching and discipleship strategy from birth through high school
• Oversee the children's ministry director as part of ensuring a continuity of ministry from birth through high school
• Plan and coordinate the student ministry to ensure that it is Bible-saturated and gospel-centered
• Supervise the teaching and discipleship process of the student ministry to ensure that teaching is biblically and theologically robust and effectively teaches students the Word and doctrine so that they might grow to be mature disciples of Christ
• Provide pastoral guidance to students
• Recruit, train, and oversee the student ministry volunteers
• Shepherd the flock along with the other pastors of the church
