Foothills Baptist is a multi-ethnic, Christ-centered, gospel-driven church, focusing on being a Biblical, Healthy, Vibrant, and Growing church. We are prayerfully seeking a Pastor of Worship and Families. This is a full-time position that is supervised by and responsible to the Senior Pastor. He must have a passion and love for the Lord, a love for people, a disciple maker, and a team player. Preference will be given to candidates with seminary training.

Qualifications:

• Satisfies eligibility requirements for membership in Foothills Baptist Church and maintains membership after accepting the call to the pastorate.
• Maintain a personal discipline of spiritual growth and maturity through faithful Bible study, prayer, and service to others.
• Maintain a personal discipline of professional growth through continuing education and attendance at relevant professional conferences and seminars.
• Be in agreement with the statements of faith, mission, vision, and core values of Foothills Baptist Church, living out the mission and culture of Foothills Baptist Church.
• Possess and maintain the personal characteristics as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
• A humble and sincere call to serve Christ's church.
• Be an evangelistic disciple-maker
• Proven experience in leading worship services and managing worship teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other church staff and volunteers.
• To lead, integrate, and develop people of all spiritual walks of life. Grasps the vision of empowering members: leads, equips, delegates & inspects.
• To be a Self-starter and team player, able to develop and implement strategies across ministry areas.
• Participate in pastoral care in coordination with the Senior Pastor and deacons such as hospital visits, phone calls, and counseling among other pastoral duties.
• Follow the Code of Conduct for Ministerial Employees.

Worship Leadership:

• Coordinating with the Pastor to plan the weekly worship services.
• Plan, organize, and lead spiritually enriching worship services that align with the church's vision, values and doctrine.
• Coordinate and oversee the worship team, including musicians, vocalists, and technical support.
• Provide resources and training to worship team members, developing them in their talents, gifts and spiritual growth.
• Maintain and manage the worship equipment, technology and licensing for services and live streaming.

Family Ministry:

• Coordinate and oversee weekly family ministries, providing leadership and support, ensuring the growth and connectivity of family ministries. Family ministry includes the children's ministry, student ministry, young adults, and equipping parents in discipleship.
• Develop a comprehensive children's ministry including: small group Bible study, extended care during worship, develop discipleship resources for parents. Lead and direct an annual kids ministry training and equipping event.
• Coordinate and oversee quarterly children's events like Vacation Bible School and back-to-school Outreach.
• Oversee and give guidance to student ministry in the areas of: Bible study, Summer camp, quarterly activities, training and associational events.

Other Areas of Responsibility:

• Work with the lead pastor and leadership team in the development and implementation of short and long term strategic planning for the church
• Lead and/or participate in the Small Group ministry.
• Participate in staff meetings as well as deacon and ministry meetings.
• Support the Lead Pastor in the overall vision casting and leadership in the areas of Family and weekend services.
• Occasionally prepare and deliver expository sermons in the absence of the Senior Pastor or on a schedule agreed upon with the Senior Pastor.
