Job Overview

• Provide vision, oversight, and development for post-college-age young adult ministry.
• Serve as adult ministry liaison to Campus Outreach college ministry.
• Implement relational ministry programs to reach and disciple young adults in the church and community.
• Serve the broader church through general pastoral ministry, including overseeing an intergenerational shepherding community.

Job Description

Program Oversight

• Foster an atmosphere that is conducive to building authentic gospel-centered community.
• Build bridges connecting young adults with other generations, helping infuse them into the church body.
• Develop excellent outreach and ministry to young adults.
• Shepherd and provide Sunday schools for young adults.
• Work with the Family Ministry Director to facilitate a smooth transition into the young adult ministry from the college-age years.
• Connect young adults from the local community into the Grace community.
• Create events, retreats, and programs to enhance the spiritual growth of young adults.
• Grow multiplying followers of Christ who will live for him through singleness, marriage, and parenthood in the church, school, workplace, and community.
• Provide premarital and other counseling to young adults
• Officiate weddings, baptize, and perform other pastoral duties for young adults.

Recruiting, Developing, and Leading Leaders

• Lead the young adult leadership team, small group leaders, and Sunday school leaders.
• Create and implement disciple-making and mentoring strategies so that young adults may benefit from the wisdom and experience of previous generations.
• Recruit, develop, and use the gifts of young leaders to accomplish the vision for young adult ministry.
