Mount Carmel Baptist Church

The members of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Cleveland, TN, are prayerfully seeking a Bi-vocational Pastor or a full-time Pastor for our Church. The new Pastor shall be called by God through the power of the Holy Spirit, confirmed by our Pastor search committee, and affirmed by the members of our congregation. He shall fulfill the qualifications for a Pastor set forth in 1 Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1: 5-9, in conjunction with the Baptist Faith and message 2000. He should clearly communicate and articulate the word of God while striving to save the lost and make disciples of the saved.

We are very blessed to have an on-site parsonage to offer to the future pastor.

The Pastor is expected to, but not limited to:

· Spend significant time in prayer and Bible study.

· Preach and teach the word of God.

· Lead worship services on Sunday mornings, evenings, and Wednesday nights.

· Lead the Church in business meetings.

· Help assist with visitation, including visiting the sick, Hospitalized, shut-ins, Grieving Church members, and other outreach efforts.

· Attend any special events in the Church that his schedule will allow, such as Vacation Bible School, prayer groups, and any special events at the Church.

· Work with and assist committees in the Church to ensure productive meetings as needed.

· The Pastor will assist in discipline.

· He should work with the Deacons and Church Leadership to assist in the growth of the Church.
