Premium is a rural Southern Baptist church near Whitesburg, KY, with membership of approximately 100 and an average Sunday worship attendance of about 50. A parsonage is not available. Current ministries include: Sunday school, youth and kids' club, children's church, backpack ministry to students at a local elementary school, Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry, and mid-week young adult Bible study. Our services include Sunday morning Sunday school and worship in addition to Wednesday evening prayer meeting and youth/kids' club. Our pastor must be an ordained Southern Baptist minister, be in theological agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and is responsible to: visit the sick, lost, etc.; respond to emergency illness/hospitalization of members/families; perform weddings and funerals; privately counseling members, families, and individuals; accept phone calls or other communications from members per personal and church-related issues; attend church dinners and other church-related special functions; meet with deacons and other church teams/committees; lead in observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper; moderate church business; and, as circumstances dictate and the pastor determines necessary: attend associational and denominational meetings; attend community meetings; and have office time at the church.
