We are a Baptist church in West Michigan seeking a full-time Pastor of Children's & Women's Ministries. Our average weekly attendance is approximately 400-500. Our strong expository preaching and teaching ministry has brought many families to the church. We are now seeking to complement with a strong children & Women's ministry director.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Children Ministries.
  • Strengthen existing children's ministries as a means of discipleship for our children and their families. (Sunday/Wednesday)
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of Children's ministries within the church.
  • Develop necessary programs/curricula to achieve these goals.
  • Possess the ability to communicate, recruit, plan, delegate, schedule, organize, and lead effectively.
  • Update and maintain a child protection policy that ensures the safety of our children and meets the standards of insurance expectations.
  • Report directly to the Lead Pastor & Elders of Trinity Baptist Church.

• Other Responsibilities
  • Provide Pastoral/Elder leadership in one additional area of ministry (TBD)
  • Assist in pulpit fill in the absence of the Lead Pastor
  • Provide, create, and promote ministries that teach, equip, and enhance spiritual growth.
  • Serve as an elder of Trinity Baptist Church.

• Administration
  • Ensure all ministries under your oversight work in harmony and communicate effectively with all other ministries of the church.
  • Other responsibilities as considered necessary by the Lead Pastor.

Qualifications

• Agreement with the Trinity Baptist Church Statement of Faith (attached) and Bylaws (provided upon request) with a personal commitment to Christian faith and values
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Bible or education (Masters/Graduate degree preferred)
• Experience working with Children in a ministry or educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to collaborate with volunteers and parents.
• Knowledge of child safety and security best practices. Member/will become a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Physical Requirement:

This role may require standing, walking, and engaging in activities with children for extended periods. The Associate Pastor of Children's Ministries should also be able to lift and move materials and supplies as needed.
