Job Description

Pastor’s Job Description The pastor’s job is to Feed, Lead, and Care for United Church so that the Body can fulfill its mission to make disciples and glorify God.

United Church Mission: Our Mission is to turn lost people into devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, for the praise of His glory, who exalt God, edify one another, evangelize, starting in our own locale, and extend disciple making to all the world.

History: United Church of Sumner (UCS) is the fruit of a merger of two Sumner evangelical churches in 2001 (First Baptist Church and Sumner Evangelical Free Church). Presently: UCS is not affiliated with any denomination. We are committed to co-operating with churches of like evangelical faith in our local area.

Our priorities include: 1.) making Christ the center of everything we are and do, 2.) raising up disciples who make disciples, reproducing reproducers, 3.) being faithful to the Word and applying it to our lives and ministries.

The pastor we are searching for will have similar commitments and the skills necessary to lead UCS to the fulfillment of its goals.

The Compensation

$70,000-$80,000 Plus Parsonage
