LEADING:

Plan and conduct the worship service: including preparing and delivering the sermons and leading the observance of ordinances.Lead the church in an effective program of witnessing and in a caring ministry for persons in the church and community.Leading in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the total program of the church.Attend council and committee meetings, and work with the deacons, church officers, and the councils as they perform their responsibilities.Cooperate with associational, state, and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern, and keep the church informed of denominational development.

PASTORAL CARE:

Extend care to individuals or families through one-on-one contactVisits individuals who are in hospitals, nursing homes, or homeboundStay in contact with those who are recovering at homeContact prospective membersContact those who have become inactive in churchContact people experiencing crisis or spiritual needsGuide people in times of anxiety, confusion, and doubtBe available for individual or family counselingBe there for people during times of celebration and times of griefVisit or contact individuals who are having diagnostic tests or procedures and support the familyInvolve couples in pre-marriage counselingPerform marriage ceremoniesVisit families that have lost a loved oneOfficiate funeral servicesMaintain 20 hours minimum office hours (flexible as approved by deacons) at the churchOther responsibilities as needed.

SALARY:

Commensurate with education and experience: $35,000 to $41,000
