Pastoral Intern

Job Description:

Purpose: The purpose of the pastoral internship at Christ Presbyterian Church is twofold. It shall:

1. Serve the needs of the intern for an effective, meaningful internship experience that will aid in clarifying God's call upon the intern to pursue ministry and will. meet the requirements of the intern's educational institution for such an experience.
2. Serve the needs of Christ Presbyterian Church for assistance in ministry in practical and productive ways.

Duties for the Pastoral Internship:

• The role of an intern will evolve over time and will be developed by the Senior Pastor. He will take into account the intern's seminary course load and assign responsibilities and tasks that fit to the intern's capacities for each semester.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• CPC will provide the intern with a full scholarship to RTS Houston plus a book allowance.

Position Qualifications:

• Sinner saved by grace who has a passion to see the name of Jesus Christ magnified
• Moral character in conformity with qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Sense of internal and external call to pastoral ministry
• Must be willing to worship at Christ Presbyterian Church of Houston each Lord's Day
• Enrolled in a seminary or desire to enroll in an RTS seminary and a commitment to the Reformed tradition as summarized by the Westminster Standards
