WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This opportunity is available to those who have received some biblical/theological training, but who have not yet completed their education. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in Seminary part-time, either online or at a commutable location from Ashland, OH. Undergraduate students may also be considered.

Job Description

EXPECTATIONS

Work between 25-30 hours per week while taking classes.

Work 40 hours per week when class is not in session.

MINISTRY AREAS

Primary: Youth Ministry. Lead 2:42 Youth Group, teach Sunday School and disciple students.

Secondary: A congregation our size provides opportunities to gain experience in a variety of areas. This can be catered to the candidate's interests, giftedness and the needs of the congregation. In general, assist the Senior Pastor.

SPIRITUAL AND CHARACTER QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate, growing, personal relationship with Him.
• Meet the biblical qualifications for elder/pastor (I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)
• Be in agreement with the Evangelical Free Church's Statement of Faith
• Able to teach. In particular, engage and connect with students in God's Word.
• Eagerness to learn, displaying a genuine humility.

COMPENSATION

Pastoral Residents/Interns will be paid either a stipend or on an hourly basis, to be agreed upon at time of hire. Compensation is intended to cover all necessary living expenses as well as some educational expenses during the period of employment.

The mission of Christ Community is to "know, grow and show" the love of Christ. Our primary mission field is the rural farm community in which we are located. We seek to build strong families, invest in our young people, and equip our congregation to live gospel oriented, missional lives. Our identity as the family of God shapes every aspect of our ministry. We want to see our young people prepared to live the Christian life as adults. We value multi-generational ministry. We want to see our congregation grow in reaching our community, both through organized events and individual lives lived on mission. Currently, we average around 110 worshippers on Sunday mornings.
