Job Description

Requirements:

• Agreement with church doctrinal statement and constitution
• Demonstrated willingness to grow in serving Jesus in building his church
• Achieved or pursuing seminary level education, or equivalent experience

Expected Involvement

• Attendance of weekly Sunday services including Sunday morning worship, Sunday school, and Sunday night
• Participation in twice-monthly Board meetings
• Participation and eventual coordination of activities related to outreach and evangelism
• Helping the church develop a culture of outreach and evangelism
• Preaching on Sunday morning/Sunday night up to once per quarter
• Regular mentoring meetings with the Senior Pastor

Optional Opportunities

Leading or participating in small discipleship groups or pursuing experience in other specific ministries such as Youth Ministry, Hospitality, Administration, Missions, or other leadership teams.

Church Context

Loving authentic fellowship of 70-80 in a Sunday worship service, evenly distributed age groups. Bible-based and gospel-centered exegetical preaching is of high value. The music and children's ministries are definite strengths. The Board is comprised of elders and deacons. The Senior Pastor has been leading the church for 20 years. The church is located in an increasingly diverse urban/suburban area of Wyoming. We are looking to better leverage our existing relationships or form new relationships within the community to bring the gospel to more people, more effectively. Probably a third of our people can walk to church. The geographic average of all the addresses in the church directory is within a mile of our building.
