The Production Director is responsible for all elements of production in the areas of audio, video, lighting, media, and online streaming. This person will have the end goal of producing excellent experiences during weekend services and other church events.

Job Description

Responsibilities Produce Excellent & Distraction-free Worship Services and Events: Oversee the proper operation of audio, lighting, media, and video equipment. Create and model a culture that strives for excellence and regular improvement. Seek out and implement new technology and resources that improve Sunday morning experiences. Troubleshoot and fix any issues that may arise during Sunday morning experiences or during the week. Oversee stage design. Prepare and manage ProPresenter and media computers. Oversee execution of streaming of weekend services, including RESI scheduling with various streaming and social media platforms.

Leadership & Development of Production Team Members Provide leadership and training to Production Team Members to properly use technology related to their responsibilities, and help them learn to troubleshoot problems when they occur. Provide resources needed by Production Team Members that offer tech support for all ministry departments. Ensure weekly service evaluation and improvement are taking place. Ensure that Production Staff schedule and fully staff their teams each week. Work with Production Staff to help each team member grow and develop. Recruit and develop volunteers to provide fully staffed teams. Develop role descriptions and responsibilities for each area of the team. Establish processes and systems that help team members create a consistently high-quality experience.

Manage Equipment Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and operation of all audio, video, lighting, and media production equipment. Develop a detailed knowledge base of operation and integration of all equipment, with a strong concentration on video & lighting. Assess current and future technology needs and create acquisition strategies. Put measures in place to ensure that equipment and supplies are secured against damage, loss, or theft. Establish setup and tear-down procedures for volunteers. Establish and maintain an inventory of equipment.
