We're looking for a team player who can communicate clearly to join our Communications and Marketing Group as a full-time non-exempt Project Manager. On Mission together, we are committed to provide NC Baptist ministries, staff and churches with excellent financial support in a manner that honors Christ.

Support the Marketing & Communications team with communication production and project management, including organizing documents in Google, managing project coordination, proofreading, pre-production planning, translation coordination, opening project requests, reviewing email content, preparing mass emails, updating the website, and scheduling social media.

Requirements and Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Experience in writing, audio/video production, Asana management software, graphic design, video editing and/or communication planning is a plus.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

  • This role oversees and manages the project management software, ensuring that projects are opened, tracked, and completed on time while coordinating with team members and organizing all necessary details.
  • Managing video-related tasks, including organizing project details, handling uploads, proofing content, and ensuring video assets are properly prepared and shared.
  • Maintaining and updating digital platforms, including websites, emails, and articles, ensuring accurate and timely content distribution.

Paid Time Off:

  • While getting the primary holidays off (8 total), the convention goes beyond this by offering an extra day after Thanksgiving and a full week off for Christmas, which is not counted against your vacation leave.

Christmas Bonus:

  • There may be a chance that some or all employees may be presented with an amount determined by the discretion of the Executive Committee.

Paid Parental Leave:

  • Eligible employees may receive up to two (2) weeks of paid parental leave following the birth of a child or placement of a child (adoption or foster).
  • Special Short-Term Disability is eligible for up to six (6) weeks of paid short-term disability leave at the rate of 100% of the employee's salary.
  • These benefits provide the employee with up to eight (8) weeks of fully paid leave to care for the birth of a child.

Reports to: Creative Manager; Director of Communications and Marketing

Supervises: None

Works cooperatively with: BSCNC staff

Basic Responsibilities

Assist the Marketing & Communications group with various aspects of communication production and project management as needed.

This may include tasks such as: organizing project management worksheets and documents in google, managing project coordination details or project management software (if applicable), proofreading, pre-production planning and assistance, translation coordination, opening project requests, reviewing email content, preparation of mass emails, web updates, social media planning and scheduling or other tasks as needed.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Project Management – oversee and manage the mark/comm project management software, Asana, to open projects, set timelines, update the status of projects, follow up with team members for due dates or updates, collect necessary supportive items from staff and organize all the details of mark/comm projects.
  2. Staff Liaison – serving as the project liaison with staff who need status updates or have questions about projects.
  3. Video Projects – helping with organizing video project details, setting up files for video scripts, following up with due dates, preparing and uploading video and/or audio files to Vimeo, YouTube or the website, proofing video content, adding titles/descriptions and making other group members aware of available video content.
  4. Pre-production planning — helping video and podcast producers as needed to set up shoots by contacting people, coordinating schedules, setting up food for crew, Zoom links, errands, etc.
  5. Reprint and Print Shop Jobs — assist in the opening and facilitation of projects whenever necessary. Offering assistance to the creative manager. This may include opening reprint jobs, editing or handling requests for printing as needed.
  6. Marketing Asset Management – organize, label, set up and supply staff with displays, banners and printed handouts as needed. Maintain the mark/comm standard distribution center area.
  7. Digital Support — editing websites/webpages, emails, posting articles as needed.

  1. Annual Meeting — assisting the group with any necessary Annual Meeting planning, production and on-site requests.
  1. Translations — secure translations for various communication resources as needed.
  1. Editing content – editing submitted articles, emails and content using AP Style standards as needed.

  6. Have familiarity with the Mac computer platform and Adobe Creative Suite.
  7. Must demonstrate a strong Christian character and be dedicated to the mission of N.C. Baptists in support of building a culture that is on mission together.

Physical Requirements

  1. Be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time to use a computer and/or other equipment. Be able to move one's chair back and forth while sitting in it.
  2. Be able to move to a copier/fax to copy and send materials.
  3. Be able to communicate effectively.
  4. Be able to stand, stoop, bend knees and arms, reach for various items, lift up to 15 pounds easily, open and close file and desk drawers and be able to climb/descend stairs or operate elevators to get to other places of work. Be able to pack and lift boxes of materials needed for conferences.
  5. Be able to walk in and out of buildings or use items of personal equipment such as manual or motorized wheelchairs to work and/or to evacuate place of work safely during an emergency.
  6. Be able to move items into/out of storage areas with appropriate help when necessary.
  7. Must be able to understand and follow instructions. Must be able to read and understand safety signs and have good judgment skills.
  8. Be able to operate a vehicle safely for business travel, as required, whether in BSCNC fleet car or personal vehicle or travel by commercial transportation to and from BSCNC-related events at which attendance is required. Be able to fix a flat, lift equipment in and out of vehicles, safely check battery cables, safely fill the vehicle or equipment with fuels or know when to get someone to help with these tasks.
