Summary of Position The Part-time Registered Nurse will assist the Medical Clinic Manager and volunteer doctors on Mondays.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities • Coordinates and provides care that is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient centered. • Facilitates multiple care aspects, including case coordination, information sharing, and health education. • Develops and maintains effective working relations with Community Partners.

• Helps patients achieve wellness and autonomy by connecting them with a Primary Care Physician. • Works with shelter staff in coordinating care of Bethesda patients. • Opens/closes the Clinic; gets necessary records, equipment, and supplies ready for use, and secures them after all patients have been seen. • During Clinic hours, assures an orderly flow of patients and circulates among the stations assisting physicians as needed. • Ensures medical records are properly maintained. • Provides assistance on a rotating schedule during day/evening Clinic hours. • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications • Possesses at least two years' experience in coordinating and providing support to the clinical work of other health professionals. • Possesses a current, active RN license. • Demonstrates ability to handle significant levels of stress inherent in clinic operations. • Has flexibility to provide coverage through the day/evening Medical Clinic schedule. • Can maintain positive, productive working relationships with others.
