The Office Manager will report to the Church Moderator. The Office Manager will work no more than 15 hours per week at $17.00/hr.
It is expected that all hours are worked on-site. Timecards must be submitted to the treasurer every 2 weeks.

Zion UCC Baroda Office Manager Job Description
Job Summary: The Office Manager will report to the Church Moderator. The Office Manager will work no more than 15 hours per week at $17.00/hr.
It is expected that all hours are worked on-site. Timecards must be submitted to the treasurer every 2 weeks.
Responsibilities Include: 1. Maintaining strict confidentiality on all matters.
2. Managing Official Church Communications providing for the creation, collection, editing, publishing, and distribution of official church communications with approval of pastor/Church Council designee, including but not limited to:
a. Managing Church Email and Phone: Serving as resource person including but not limited to: answering questions, directing questions and information to the appropriate parties, recording important information. b. Chimes Newsletters/ Worship Bulletins/ Church Directory c. Preparing and distributing mailings, meeting notices, as requested by and with approval of committee chairs and/or pastor. d. Changing of the Church sign, Updating church website information e. Helping with other publications and projects by request of and with approval of pastor and/or committees
3. Maintaining records of: a. Member information, including but not limited to address changes, change of membership status, births, deaths, baptisms, marriages, confirmations, etc... b. Minutes, church documents and records, and appropriate filing
4. Managing Church Calendar a. Events of interest to the congregation including church, worship, and committee events, local community events, Southwest Association, and Michigan Conference events with approval of pastor/Church Council designee. b. Review and update calendar regularly with approval of pastor/Church Council designee. c. Schedule usage of buildings and equipment for meetings, special events, etc.
5. Managing Church Office Business a. Managing licensing and subscription renewals, mail, and other church business as assigned by pastor/Church Council designee and other committees. b. Assisting Bookkeeper and Church Treasurer to coordinate bill payment. c. Maintaining and ordering of essential Office and Church supplies, including assisting with purchases requested by pastor/Church Council designee and committees. d. Assisting Building & Grounds chairperson to coordinate routine repair and servicing of all church repairs.
6. Managing Memorials a. Assisting in record keeping of Memorial information with the Bookkeeper b. Providing a report to the family of the total amount received, the names and address of contributors. Requirements: 1. Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office and Google Chrome. 2. Practical experience in office management, preferably in a church or church-related institution. 3. Ability to be self-motivated and have great attention to detail. 4. Be a team player, share knowledge and skills; be willing to meet and work together with Pastor, Treasurer, Church Accountant/Bookkeeper, Moderator, and other staff and lay leaders. 5. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills. 6. Clear church-approved background check and follow Safe Church Policy.
