Senior Adult/Pastoral Care and Biblical Counseling Ministry Assistant

Supervisor: The Senior Adult/Pastoral Care/Counseling Administrative Assistant reports to the Senior Adult/Pastoral Care Pastor and the Biblical Counseling Pastor. This is a full-time position.
Required Skills:1. Received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and uphold Biblical priorities through a growing relationship with Jesus
2. Adherence to church policies and doctrine
3. Ability to work with other staff, church members, and the community, reflecting good hospitality and concern for the well-being of others
4. General typing and computer skills including use of Microsoft Office products
5. Good communication skills including phone, texting, email, and social media
6. Willingness to learn new skills as needed
Specific Responsibilities Senior Adult/Pastoral Care Ministry:1. Provide administrative support to the Senior Adult/Pastoral Care Pastor, including but not limited to calendar/scheduling, answering phones, mailing, printing, transcribing funeral sermons, and copying as needed
2. Plan all trips and activities for 55+ Adult Ministry
3. Communicate Wednesday night prayer requests and update prayer boards
4. Track budgets, expenditures, and prepare quarterly reports
5. Assist Bereavement Ministry, Huggs Ministry, Blessing Box Ministry, Deacon Ministry, Kitchen Ministry, and Mission of Hope volunteers as needed
6. Oversee the coffee and donut service for the church
7. Attend weekly Support Staff Team meeting and monthly All Staff Team meeting
8. Additional duties as needed
Specific Responsibilities Biblical Counseling Ministry:1. Greet counseling clients and direct them to Biblical Counseling waiting room
2. Answer incoming calls on days the Biblical Counseling Assistant is out of office
3. Purchase resources for Counselors including supplies and
4. Review sanctuary Biblical Counseling wall display, inventory missing booklets, and replenish
5. Research other agencies practices (e.g. Biblical Counseling website content, pre-marriage questions)
6. Fulfill the role of observer when male counselors are paired with female counselees as needed
