Job Overview

We are seeking a Youth Pastor to provide leadership and care to our church's senior high youth ministry. The Youth Pastor will be responsible for seeking to foster spiritual growth, planning and leading gatherings and activities, and providing guidance to young people in our church in cooperation with their parents and families. The successful candidate is a committed Christian who is passionate about helping young people grow in their faith.

Youth Pastor Requirements and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or related field • Minimum 2 years of experience in youth ministry preferred • A deep knowledge of the Bible and Christian theology and awareness of key cultural concerns • Able to effectively communicate with young people, adults, and families • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills and work ethc • A passion for helping young people grow in their faith and commitment to Christ in the fellowship of His church

Job Description

Youth Pastor Duties and Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive youth ministry programming, including weekly meetings, retreats, relationship-building activities and service projects in cooperation with the rest of the pastoral team and with the oversight and support of the executive pastor for ministries • Lead and teach youth group meetings and Bible studies • Develop and mentor a team of adult volunteers for this ministry • Mentor and disciple young people • Work with parents and other adults to ensure youth are involved in healthy and meaningful activities • Provide pastoral care and support to youth and their families • Create and maintain relationships with outside organizations and individuals to facilitate programs • Develop and manage the youth ministry budget
