We are seeking a dynamic, personable Lead Pastor to shepherd our Restoration Movement Church. The ideal candidate will have a heart for pastoral care, strong leadership skills, and a passion for teaching and guiding our congregation. Worship is averaging anywhere from 30-70 members. The man that God will lead here will hold the core values of our church: 1) The Bible is the final authority; 2) We are a Holy People; 3) We are faithful stewards; 4) We strive for excellence in all things. The candidate should desire to Love God, Love People, & Serve Both. The BCC mission is "...a place where we follow Jesus beyond the walls into the world." This role requires a committed leader who can inspire spiritual growth, foster community engagement, and uphold the teachings of Christ.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Preaching and Teaching:
  • Deliver engaging and biblically sound sermons.
  • Provide and oversee relevant teaching and instruction for the church that fosters spiritual growth and discipleship.
• Pastoral Care:
  • Offer compassionate support and counseling to individuals and families within the congregation.
  • Conduct weddings, funerals, and other special ceremonies as needed.
  • Visit members in hospitals, homes, and other care facilities.
• Leadership and Vision:
  • Provide spiritual and strategic leadership to guide the church towards its mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with the Elders and ministry leaders to develop and implement church programs and initiatives.
  • Encourage and empower church staff and volunteers in their roles.
• Community Engagement:
  • Foster strong relationships with the local community through outreach programs and service projects.
  • Represent the church in community events and build partnerships with other local organizations.
• Administration and Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church, and partner with the Elders for budgeting and resource management.
  • Ensure effective communication within the church through various channels, including newsletters, social media, and announcements.
• Spiritual Development:
  • Encourage and model a life of prayer, worship, and personal growth.
  • Develop and support programs for spiritual formation, small groups, and ministry training.
  • Promote a culture of discipleship and outreach within the congregation.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in pastoral ministry, with a preference of 3-5 years in a lead pastoral role or 5-10 years in an associate role such as a family life pastor.
• Strong understanding and commitment to the Restoration Movement principles and values.
• Excellent preaching, teaching, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a congregation.
• A heart for pastoral care and a commitment to serving others with compassion.

Compensation:

• Salary commensurate with experience.
• Paid time off. (Other items negotiable)
