Senior Pastor

Job Overview

If you are looking for a mission that you can commit your life to, then you have just found it!

Bethel Baptist Church of Hayes Center, NE, is a gospel-centered and great-commission-driven congregation that desires to see the transforming power of Christ impact its community, the surrounding region, and the world beyond. This small-town congregation comprises about 15% of the Hayes Center population.

Located in the Hayes County Seat, Bethel Baptist Church is in a prime location for outreach to the 900 residents of the county. Most residents of this southwest Nebraska region are employed through ranching and agriculture related fields, however there is an ongoing need for teachers, itinerate nurses and skilled laborers such as electricians, plumbers, CDL drivers, mechanics, and general handymen. Hayes Center is located roughly 35 minutes from the larger "supply" communities of McCook, NE (on US HWY 34) an hour from North Platte, NE (on Interstate 80)

Bethel Baptist Church is looking for an elder-qualified (1 Tim. 3, Tit. 1, 1 Pet. 5) man of God to lead, shepherd, and invest in their congregation, community, and county.

We are looking for a pastor with a vision and capacity to relationally pastor our church toward spiritual, geographic, and numeric growth. Bethel Baptist Church can offer a nice parsonage and a limited financial stipend. The next pastor of Bethel Baptist Church will need to be either co-vocational or donor-supported through Converge Heartland. CONVERGE HEARTLAND is a denominational district of CONVERGE WORLDWIDE that is home to 60 regional churches and, among many other things, serves as a regional homeland missions agency for assisting gospel-centered churches with bi-vocational and/or donor-supported pastors.

Donor-supported missionaries and ministers with the aforementioned employment skills are highly encouraged to apply for this opening!
