Responsibilities and Duties:● The Pastor shall be the primary preacher of the Word of God atFaith Lakeside and lead the Elders in protecting and teaching soundBiblical doctrine.● The Pastor shall serve alongside a plurality of elders, all equal incalling and responsibility, but with unique responsibilities and areasof service.● The Pastor shall lead or delegate the leadership of congregationalworship services.● The Pastor shall provide pastoral counseling to the congregationand others within the community (as available and dependent onqualifications).● The Pastor shall lead the pastoral ministries, working with theLeadership Team (Elders & Deacons), ministry team leaders, and thechurch staff, to:○ Proclaim the Gospel in Faith Lakeside and the community○ Provide pastoral care of members○ In conjunction with the other members of the LeadershipTeam, develop a vision for Faith Lakeside and its mission inthe community○ Provide training to new members as needed○ Contact new members and visitors as needed.● The Pastor shall seek to train and equip the congregation forperforming missions and ministries both inside the church andwithin the local community.● The Pastor shall counsel with and assist in training ministry leadersfor their service within the church and community.● The Pastor shall participate in church ministries and provide inputas appropriate.● The Pastor shall be available for performing weddings and funeralsfor church members and those affiliated with the church (dependentupon status).● The Pastor shall direct the administrative duties of the church officeand administrator and provide supervision to any other paid staff.● The Pastor shall represent Faith Lakeside at the Upper Ohio ValleyBaptist Association and the state convention of affiliation, attendingregular meetings and informing the congregation of any relevantinitiatives or issues.● The Pastor shall represent Faith Lakeside within the community andamong the local churches.

Qualifications:● The Pastor shall meet the requirements for "overseer" as definedin 1 Timothy 3:1-7.● The Pastor shall meet the requirements for leadership atFaith Community Church Lakeside as follows:○ Associations: Exodus 23:2, Psalm 1:1, Proverbs 24:1, ICorinthians 6:14, I Corinthians 15:33, Psalm 119:63,Proverbs 2:20, Proverbs 13:20, II Thessalonians 3:14○ Activities: I John 2:15, I Corinthians 7:31, Luke 21:34,Colossians 3:2, Titus 2:12, Matthew 24:38-39, Ephesians2:2-10○ Attitudes: I Timothy 5:13, Proverbs 13:3, James 1:26,Psalm 101:5, Proverbs 11:9, I Peter 2:1-5○ Appearance: I Corinthians 11:14-15, I Corinthians 11:31,Deuteronomy 22:5, I Peter 3:3, I Timothy 2:9-10, Isaiah3:9, II Peter 1:4● The Pastor shall accept the Baptist Faith and Message 2000as standard for faith and practice.● The Pastor must accept the church's covenant and doctrinalstatement without reservation.● The Pastor shall have demonstrated wisdom and sound judgment inhis family life, relationships, finances, business, and ministry.● The Pastor shall have a Bachelor's degree as a minimum (ChristianStudies, Bible degree, Certification, or Master's preferred), and asolid theological understanding of the Word of God.● The Pastor shall have demonstrated leadership skills via pastministry, business, or other experiences.● The Pastor shall have a demonstrated ability for preaching andteaching the Word of God.● The Pastor must have a specific love for and calling to the Pittsburgharea and a passion to reach the people of the greater Pittsburgh area.

Compensation and Additional Expectations:– Salary will be based on experience.– A benefits package and housing allowance can be negotiated uponoffer of employment.– 10-15 Minimum Available/Office Hours each week.– This role will likely be Bi-Vocational but is open for discussion.
