First Baptist Church Liberty in Liberty, NC is seeking a Senior Pastor. We are a passionate church who is eager to grow spiritually and reach our community with the Gospel of Christ. We are affiliated with the Randolph Baptist Association and the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. The Senior Pastor's primary responsibilities, include but are not limited to, equipping the church to carry out the functions of evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship as the church fulfills the Great Commission. The Senior Pastor is the spiritual leader of the church. He is responsible to the Lord and the church to primarily proclaim the Gospel and teach the Bible. He is to be engaged in pastoral care, providing supervisory and administrative leadership in all areas of congregational care including paid and volunteer staff. Minimum acceptable education is Bachelor of Ministry or Theology from an accredited seminary. Preferred education is Master of Ministry, Theology or Divinity from an accredited seminary. Minimum experience is 1-2 years as Pastor or 3-5 years as an Associate Pastor and licensed and ordained as a minister. Preferred experience is at least 3 years as Pastor or at least 6 years as an Associate Pastor and licensed and ordained in a Southern Baptist Church.
