Position: Lead Pastor/Full Time Location: First Baptist Church McMinnville, 403 N. Spring St., McMinnville TN. 37110 www.fbcmcminnville.com About Us: First Baptist Church McMinnville (FBCM) adheres to the Baptist Faith & Mission and is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. The church is dedicated to worship, discipleship, and outreach. The campus includes a Sanctuary with over 300 seats, a Fellowship Hall, an Education wing, offices in the main building, and three separate Ministry Buildings. Currently, the church holds two Sunday morning services with blended worship in the first, and band-led worship in the second. Three D-LIFE teaching hours start at 8:00 AM, and others occur throughout the week. The organization has maintained fiscal responsibility, with all current facilities being debt-free, and recent remodeling and building upgrades completed without incurring debt. The current staff includes a Senior/Lead Pastor (position being recruited), Executive Pastor, full-time Associate Pastor of Youth, full-time Children's Director, full-time Business/Office Manager, two part-time Worship Leaders, part-time Food Services Director, and two part-time Administrative Assistants one for Youth and one for Children's Ministries. A large percentage of the congregation consists of young families with children under the age of 18. FBCM engages in numerous community ministries including Youth Ministry, VBS, DIG-IN Bible Club, Next Gen College Ministry, Singles Ministry, Trail Life USA, American Heritage Girls, Beyond Our Walls, Prison Ministry, International Mission Trips, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, KIDSMIN HANGOUTS, and collaborates with the Matthew 25 Homeless Ministry. McMinnville is located in south-central Tennessee, midway between Nashville and Chattanooga, and is known as the "Nursery Capital of the World." Key Responsibilities: · Fulfill roles of preacher, pastor, and leader · Provide vision and direction to staff and congregation · Ensure pastoral care with the deacon team · Mentor, train, and raise up lay leaders and other staff · Stay informed about the organization, ministries, and initiatives of the local, state, and national convention Qualifications for an Ideal Candidate: · Bible-based Preacher: Ability to deliver engaging sermons grounded in sound doctrine. · Meet the biblical requirements as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 5:1-4. · Possess several years of pastoral experience and equivalent education. · Shepherd: Capable of leading and providing comprehensive pastoral care. · Healthy Lifestyle: Demonstrates spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being while fostering a culture of discipleship within the church.
