Senior Pastor Position — First Southern Baptist Church, Willcox, Arizona

First Southern Baptist Church of Willcox, Arizona, is prayerfully seeking the next Senior Pastor to lead our congregation as we continue to love God, serve our community, and grow together in faith.

About Our Church:First Southern Baptist is a spiritually and financially healthy, unified church with a strong foundation and a heart for both discipleship and outreach. Our average Sunday morning attendance is around 75 people, and we are blessed with vibrant ministries, including an active Sunday School program, flourishing women's and men's ministries, and ongoing opportunities for service and spiritual growth.

Our former pastor faithfully served for 16 years before retiring, and we are excited to see who God will bring to guide us in this next season. Our facilities have been recently updated and are in great condition. In addition, our church provides a recently renovated parsonage for the pastor and his family. The parsonage is located in town, just a few blocks from the church, offering a comfortable home and easy access to the church and community.

About Willcox, Arizona:Willcox is a friendly, close-knit community nestled in southeastern Arizona, known for its rich history, beautiful high desert landscapes, and thriving agricultural industry, especially vineyards and cattle ranching. We are close to hunting, hiking, and golfing opportunities. We are 75 miles from Tucson so close to the advantages of a city, but with its small-town charm and welcoming people, Willcox offers a peaceful environment with plenty of opportunities to engage the community and make a lasting impact for Christ.

Candidate Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess:✔ Past ministry experience ranging from full-time roles as a senior pastor, discipleship pastor, or youth pastor to participating in mission trips and providing pulpit supply through preaching.✔ A strong commitment to biblical preaching and teaching✔ A heart for pastoral care and building relationships within the church and community✔ Leadership ability to equip and mobilize the church for ministry and outreach✔ Alignment with the beliefs and practices of the Southern Baptist Convention✔ Full agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000

We are looking for a pastor who is approachable, grounded in Scripture, and passionate about making disciples, strengthening families, and reaching those far from God.
