We are a body of believers who are looking for our next senior pastor who will lead us in outreach opportunities and authentic Christian discipleship and worship. We are in a town with two universities which are growing. We are traditional in worship, but would welcome contemporary music blended in our services. We have 40 to 45 in regular attendance. Our facilities are fairly new, built debt-free, by the grace of God. We are looking for a man who would shepherd us and be one of good nature to visit the sick 0r homebound and interject with members and visitors alike. We would like someone who is the husband of one wife and possibly have a family. We are looking for at least a seminary degree and some pastoral experience. We would like someone who would maintain a personal prayer and bible study time. Sermon prep is an utmost and personal evangelism is desired. We want someone who is kind natured. with a sense of humor, compassionate and loving. Organizational and delegation skills a must. Our church's greatest strengths are unity, prayer, generosity and faith. Our greatest needs: leadership, guidance, community involvement, growth spiritually and numerically. The pastor sets the tone and should dress at least business casual for Sunday mornings. We like to offer invitations at each service-for salvation, church membership, baptism, or just to get right with the Lord. The pastor will hold office hours, at least 6 hours a day, four days a week, which includes visiting the homebound, sick, including nursing homes and hospitals. He will be involved in our business meetings and be an exo-factor member of the committees. We want an impartial person as he deals with members and someone who is personable and social. As a church we would like someone who preaches the whole counsel of God's word. We want someone who is totally sold out to Jesus Christ.
