With the guidance from the Holy Spirit, our church is seeking a Senior Pastor who will step up and lead our multi-generational congregation. He will be dedicated to growing the community of Christ through actionable fulfillment of the Great Commissionas outlined in Matthew 28:16-20. We believe God's man (the candidate) will be unshakeable in the calling God has for him.

He will possess relevant education and or experience working in ministry, and have a genuine heart for local and global missions. He will hold firmly to God's Word as a Biblical overseer who can mentor and lead our church staff, can be a mentor to others in the church "as he goes", and is open to being mentored himself. The candidate must display great spiritual leadership qualities and be diligent in fulfilling the mission of Hill Spring Baptist Church. God's man will be encouraged as he inspires a renewed vision, fosters unity among our community of believers, and displays Godly character and humility.

The ideal candidate will possess the biblical requirements outlined in Titus 1:5-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 5:1-4.

The Senior Pastor Search Team of Hill Spring Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Church, has prayerfully sought input from God's Word, the Holy Spirit, and our church family to help us understand the kind of man we are seeking to be our next Senior Pastor. In 2014, we transitioned the church from the Crichton area of inner city Mobile to West Mobile and changed our name from Spring Hill Avenue Baptist Church to Hill Spring Baptist Church.
