The CallWe're seeking a conservative, Gospel-driven shepherd to help revitalize and grow a church with deep community roots—someone eager to roll up their sleeves and serve alongside a devoted congregation who desires to grow the church and spread the gospel.

About UsJessup Baptist Church is a small, historic congregation with big growth potential. We're located in the heart of Central Maryland—less than a mile from Fort Meade—surrounded by expanding neighborhoods and development, with easy access to major highways. Our church has long been a beacon of light, serving 100+ families monthly through our food and baby pantries and engaging in overseas missions. We are a congregational-led Southern Baptist church, prayerfully seeking God's direction as we look toward revitalization and renewed growth. We believe God is preparing to do something great here.

Key Responsibilities● Lead worship services, Bible studies, and outreach.

● Preach and teach the Word faithfully and boldly.

● Provide pastoral care, counseling, and visitation.

● Oversee ministries and guide spiritual and organizational health.

● Partner with deacons and volunteers to reach our community and beyond.

Qualifications● Southern Baptist (or willing to be ordained by the SBC); biblical education preferred.

● Meets the biblical standards of 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.

● Strong desire to evangelize and shepherd God's people; prayerful and humble.

Compensation & Benefits● Salary: $50K+ (commensurate with experience)

● Vacation: 2–4 weeks based on tenure

● Insurance & Sabbatical: Negotiable
