Kenly Missionary Baptist Church (KMBC), Kenly North Carolina, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor/Lead Elder. KMBC is an elder-led congregation of around two hundred, a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Triangle East Baptist Association. We have three laymen serving as Elders, one Youth Pastor, Children's Ministry Director, administrative assistant, and our ten Deacons serve the church body and community. Above all, we prayerfully depend on God's guidance and actively seek His will.

Our mission of "Love God, Love Others, and Serve Both" is demonstrated through a variety of avenues. We offer Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities for all ages, including Children and Youth Ministries. The on-site Childcare Center serves over 120 children each week-day. The Childcare Center is a ministry within the church and community. The daily operations are managed by the Childcare Director. The Senior Pastor will need to embrace this ministry as a part of the church.

KMBC is a place where the Word of God is preached. Because we believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, we are unashamed of its message in its entirety. We hold each other accountable in love and strive to reflect Christ in our daily walk. We are looking for a Senior Pastor/Lead Elder who has a passion for God, His word, and His people and lead us in taking the message of Jesus Christ to those who need it. We also have an active and established Senior ministry. KMBC's outreach and evangelism activities lead by the various Sunday school classes, focus on the Community for which we live. We see our future as being bright, and the harvest is plentiful.

The Senior Pastor, in unity with the elders and personnel committee, will provide leadership to the church staff. He will have scheduled staff meetings to check the pulse of the ministries and ensure the ministries are effectively sharing the Gospel. The Senior Pastor will need to have a reasonable presence onsite at the church throughout the week and participate in outreach opportunities as appropriate.

To be considered qualified, this man must demonstrate his personal walk and relationship with Christ, his passion to reach and evangelize the unsaved, and overseeing and discipling the growth of believers. He will need to provide oversight and servant leadership of our elder-led congregation, exemplify the Beatitudes, and actively demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to all.

He will be evaluated based on the qualifications given in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4; a man faithful in prayer and the study of the Word of God who is seeking to be holy and see God's Will fulfilled through him and the congregation which he leads. He must be respected and of high character, spiritually minded and humble, and always willing to forgive. He will shepherd the flock, teach and exhort, refute those who distort the truth, and lead his own family well. He will seek to be holy (1 Peter 1:15-16) and to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

Preference will be given to the candidates that meet the following:

· Ordained Baptist Minister

· An appropriate number of years and experience as Senior Pastor
