Job Overview
New Life Church held its first public service on December 7, 1975, when Pastor Ronnie Riggins and his wife, Beverly, launched the church as an independent Baptist congregation. What began as a humble gathering of Christ-followers has since grown into a thriving fellowship of approximately 220 attendees each Sunday. Over the years, the congregation has expanded its vision, purchased 13 acres and developed multiple facilities to support its ministry. Rooted in a deep commitment to biblical truth, New Life Church remains a theologically conservative congregation, passionately dedicated to its mission of "Where Jesus and His Word Are Exalted." Sermons are expository, theologically sound and designed for practical application. They are passionately proclaimed to inspire and equip believers. The church is led by a team of enthusiastic and faithful elders who shepherd with wisdom, grace, and an unwavering commitment to Scripture.
New Life Church gathers for worship on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. The service features a blend of modern worship songs and refreshed hymns, along with Scripture readings, prayers, and a Biblically grounded, engaging sermon. The service is streamed online for those who can't attend in person. Two full-time and three part-time staff members serve with the pastor.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a genuine and intimate relationship with Jesus, living a life marked by prayer and a steadfast commitment to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As a shepherd at heart, he will be devoted to building meaningful relationships within the New Life Church family, investing time in truly knowing and loving the congregation. The new Lead Pastor will be a collaborative leader, working seamlessly with both dedicated staff and passionate volunteers to advance the church's mission. New Life Church envisions the construction of a new worship auditorium, and experience in leading through such development would be highly valuable. Above all, New Life seeks a pastor eager to plant deep roots in the community, embracing the opportunity to serve Jesus alongside this congregation for years to come.
- Clear alignment with the core beliefs of New Life Church; a bachelor's degree in Bible or a similar program
- A theological master's degree is preferred
- Minimum of ten years of ministry experience in a multi-staff setting with regular preaching opportunities and oversight of paid staff and volunteers; skilled in the development and implementation of strategic planning; skilled and winsome communicator of the gospel who excels in Bible-based expository preaching and teaching; ability to provide relationally-strong shepherding to the staff and church body; mature faith and wisdom that has been tested and proven through experience and intimacy with Jesus.
