Trinity Baptist Church is located in the heart of Redwood Country, in Arcata, California. Trinity is a vibrant, diverse, and growing community of faith, committed to serving God and loving our neighbors. We are seeking a dedicated, passionate man to join our team and serve as pastor and lead our congregation in spiritual growth and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities and a deep commitment to the ministry. Arcata is a city of approximately 15,000 year round residents, our population increases during the school year as we are also home to Cal Poly Humboldt. We are 279 miles north of San Francisco on the beautiful Northern California coast. Trinity is a small church in a mostly rural area that is more interested in quality of Biblical teaching not quantity of members (God takes care of the numbers). Our population consists of educators, students, health care workers, homeless, moderate and low income families. There are multiple opportunities to minister to all residents as we provide a weekly non-government funded food pantry that serves our area. Foggy morning in the Arcata Community Forest.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation, fostering a culture of faith, love, and service. 2. Develop and deliver engaging, biblically-based weekly sermons during worship services, as well as on special occasions and events. 3. Provide pastoral care for members of the congregation, including visiting the sick, counseling those in need, and offering support during times of crisis. 4. Work with church leadership and staff to establish and execute a vision and strategic plan for spiritual growth and leadership development. 5. Engage and build relationships within our NCBA and CSB organizations to address community needs. 6. Assist with the administration and management of church operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and personnel management of the church staff and volunteers. 7. Perform other pastoral duties, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications, as required. Qualifications 1. A deep commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2. Good standing within a recognized Christian denomination.
