Underwood Baptist Church is seeking a Senior Pastor who is equipped to shepherd a growing church of 500+ active members. We are a conservative congregation that adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message.

We recognize the Senior Pastor as the spiritual leader of the church that meets the qualifications as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. He should be able to preach the Word of God with boldness and without reservation.

The Senior Pastor should be able to lead administratively while working collaboratively with the staff, deacons, and leadership of the church, as well as providing pastoral care for the members.

The Senior Pastor should be visionary and mission-minded in reaching the lost with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He is expected to stand firm for the sanctity of human life, the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and the freedom to express our faith publicly.
