Senior Pastor
CHURCH OVERVIEWVista Grande Baptist Church is a healthy, multigenerational Southern Baptist church located in Colorado Springs, CO in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We have a high view of the Bible and a high view of Jesus, and we want everything we do and believe to be driven by God's Word. As such, we seek to fulfill Jesus' command in the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) to make disciples. Our aim is to see people come to Christ so they begin growing as disciples and our hope is that through the faithful teaching of God's Word and obedience to what He has commanded, the result will be disciples who will worship, connect, serve, and impact.
- WORSHIP: Corporately gathering as a church to encounter God as He is revealed through His Word.
- CONNECT: Gathering in smaller groups (Sunday School, discipleship classes, group Bible studies) to fellowship and encourage each other around God's Word.
- SERVE: Giving our time, energy, and resources to benefit God's people at VGBC.
- IMPACT: Representing Christ within our community as we show acts of mercy, share the gospel, and engage in missions.
Additional characteristics of Vista Grande Baptist Church:
- We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and adhere to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
- We have many active ministries for all ages and walks of life within our church. We emphasize that the center of every church ministry be the teaching and preaching of God's Word.
- We worship via theologically rich contemporary music and traditional hymns, with the strength of our worship being the congregation's voices, singing to God, and encouraging one another.
- We are a mission-minded congregation that supports local, North American, and International Missions through regular giving and volunteering throughout the year, as well as by sending out members of our own congregation to the mission field.
- We are currently debt-free and located in a populated area within our fast-growing city.
