Position Overview: The Social Media Manager is responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across various social media platforms to engage our congregation and the broader community, reflecting the mission and values of our church. Reports Directly to: Associate Pastor of Families Prerequisites:– Affirm the Hibernia Baptist Church statements of belief and practices as codified in our organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.– Ability to meet the requirements for membership at Hibernia Baptist Church.– Active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ with a call to the ministry.– Maintain a high standard of excellence and moral character.– Professional and positive demeanor.– Excellent attendance habits.– Strong written and verbal communication skills.– Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.– Record of consistent, high-level performance.– Excellent organizational skills.– Proficient in graphic design and video editing software (Adobe Suite, Canva).– Proficient in using social media platforms and tools (Facebook, IG, YouTube). General Responsibilities:– Develop, recommend, coordinate, and oversee long-term social media strategy to help drive mission awareness of HBC.– Create, curate, and manage content (text, images, videos) for all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and others.– Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely and respectful manner.– Track and analyze social media performance metrics to refine strategies and improve engagement.– Coordinate with church staff and volunteers to highlight events, activities, and ministries.– Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistency in branding and messaging.– Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to ensure our content remains relevant and engaging.
