Spiritual Formation Pastor – Church of Hope

Position Title: Spiritual Formation Pastor

Reports To: Chief of Staff

Supervises: DREAM Teams, Groups, and Classes

SUMMARY:

Representing the vision of Pastor Mark Cummins while fulfilling Church of Hope’s mission, the purpose of this role is to spiritually grow Church of Hope’s community through the mobilization of leaders.

OUTCOMES: The following are hoped outcomes for this role within the first 12-18 months:

• To identify & codify the DNA of Small Groups, clarifying their longevity & multiplication strategy, developing a comprehensive groups model.
• To create a sustainable leadership pipeline, mobilizing leaders.
• To activate measuring systems that track spiritual formation & development.
• To develop a system of spiritual formation, creating group connection for care & missional deployment through Church of Hope & the community.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities: The following are the core responsibilities of the role & estimated percentage

of time devoted to each area:

• (20%) Administration of group tracking & support systems.
• (30%) Oversight of 2-3 group launch campaigns per year.
• (50%) Leadership, recruitment, & spiritual development of Hope partners & attendees.

Qualifications and Education Preferences

• College degree
• Seminary training in spiritual formation
• Leading Small Groups

Physical Labor Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
