Student Minister

PURPOSE:

• Shepherd everyone involved in student ministry – including leaders, students, and parents

DISCIPLESHIP:

• Life-long process of disciples making disciples
• Must be the spiritual leader of your home
• Maintain a growing and loving relationship with Jesus
• In cooperation with other children and youth ministers, ensure students are developing spiritually
• Facilitate unity among the staff with words and actions
• Continue an ongoing education by attending conferences and classes as opportunities arise

LEADERSHIP:

• Connection more than content
• Cast vision
• Be proactive in understanding culture surrounding today's generation of students
• Organize and lead appropriate trips and programs
• Attend school activities when possible
• Research, recommend and approve all curriculum
• Recruit and train all leaders and support staff
• Develop and strengthen a partnership between the church and parents to nurture the faith of the students

ADMINISTRATION:

• Team player
• Maintain records and contact information for all students and leaders
• Organize classroom and ministry area(s)
• Proactively complete background checks for all leaders
• Work closely with the Finance Secretary regarding budget
